Estaón is situated half way between La Guingueta (945m) and Tavascan (1,000m). GR11-7
It is a good 5h and 11km hike from La Guingueta to Estaón over a slow rise to the peak of Lo Calbo (2,290m) after 3h and steeper descent to Estaón . The reverse direction is only 4h 15' .
From Estaón to Tavascan is 12km and 4h 20' with a steep rise to the peak of Clol de lleret (1,820m) and sometimes steeper to Tavascan
